I guess you'd say I head up a small, upstart church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.
While there, nestled magically and in utopian-like fashion in the suburbs (note the sarcasm), we've discovered that we have the ability in our small community to be loving, welcoming, safe... and we can choose each day to "major in the majors" of authenticity, depth and intimacy.
We choose to be honest. To ourselves and God.
We choose to be human. Even (especially) the pastors.
We choose to be open. To doing life together.
We choose to be naturally supernatural. No gimmicks.
We choose to be tellers. Of the Great News.
We choose to be forgivers. Because we are forgiven.
We choose to be authentic. Leave fake at the door.
We choose to be welcoming. We need others in the walk.
If you find yourself in the south suburbs of Denver, CO, please consider joining us in a place where the pastoral pedestal is deconstructed, the masks are off, the sheen is gone, and what you have left are real people who want to follow the real God in their real lives.
